CDN video delivery is fast becoming one of the most popular uses of content delivery networks. As services such as YouTube, Netflix and Vimeo grow in popularity and more and more data delivered across the internet is in the form of high definition video, the need for high speed data acceleration has also been increasing as content providers aim to give their customers the best possible end user experience.
The latest company to enter the CDN video acceleration fray is ARRIS, a leading broadband equipment specialist. They have announced that they will be offering Akamai’s Aura Licensed Content Delivery Network as part of the end-to-end IP video portfolio.

A key part of that evolution for network operators is the adoption of CDN technology as part of their overall solution. We're pleased that ARRIS chose to partner with Akamai, recognizing the advantages of combining our Aura CDN solutions with their TV Everywhere products. We're confident that the partnership with ARRIS will expand Akamai's presence with network and cable operators and also help us scale from a support perspective
