In a bid to improve their already strong presence in the market, world leading content delivery network provider Akamai has opened a new sales office in Toronto, Canada. The aim of this new office is support and take advantage of internet growth in the country.
Content Delivery Network Functions
The office supplements their current office in Ontario and will have employees focused on sales, services, engineering and security, with a particular focus on web performance and enterprise 
solutions.
Gary Black, CTO of SHOP.CA, a client of Akamai’s made his excitement about the new office clear. Akamai provides site acceleration, content delivery, mobile optimization and cloud-based security solutions that have underpinned SHOP.CA since the very beginning. We have a great working relationship with Akamai and are excited at their announcement to open a Toronto office which will provide us with even greater access to their services and capabilities. We’ve recently extended our relationship with Akamai to deploy their Ion service for greater site performance improvements.
